The Greatness of Grapeseed Oil

We'll be honest, when you say things like "vineyard" or "grape" the first thing that comes to mind is one of our favorite drinks. You know the one.

Now while we do acknowledge that wine is a very important byproduct of grapes, another important ingredient we get from it is grapeseed oil.

After pressing the grapes in order to make the wine, grape seeds are left behind. Grapeseed oil is then distilled from the remaining seeds. It has proven to be a great, easy-to-use, non comedogenic ingredient that makes it an ideal addition to different kinds of products and that works for most skin types.

At Bare Necessities MNL, we take advantage of this powerful oil by adding it to products to help maximize its effectiveness on our skin.

So what makes it so great?

Grapeseed oil is loaded with antimicrobial properties.

This makes it an effective fighter against dirt and acne causing bacteria. The lightweight nature of the oil allows it to be easily absorbed by the skin and go deep into the pores to get to work. To make this even more effective, we’ve added it to our salt bars.  The magnesium content in the salt helps to calm redness and irritation while gently exfoliating our skin. This lets the grapeseed oil work its magic on the newest layers of our skin.

Grapeseed oil also has intense moisturizing properties that improves our skin’s softness and elasticity.

Because of its high content in omega-6 fatty acids, it effectively works its way into the middle and outer layers of our skin to reduce inflammation and prevent discoloration caused by external factors. The fatty acids also work to protect your skin from sun damage by decreasing the damage of UV rays on our skin. To maximize the amazing effects, we’ve added it to our unique lotion bar to keep it on our skin as long as possible.

Even though grapeseed oil comes from a small little seed, the effects can be appreciated in a big way. That’s why at Bare Necessities MNL, we’ve taken the liberty of adding it to our different products to allow you to get the full benefits in a way that works for you.
